Cantharellus freisii Quel.

Fruit body: cap up to 3 cm, thin, semicircular then expanded and depressed in centre, orange; margin is thin and wavy. Hymenophore consists of decurrent gill-like veins, colour brighter than cap. Stem up to 3 x 0.6 cm, solid and whitish at base.

Microscopy: spores ellipsoid, smooth, hyaline, 9-11 x 4.5-5μm, yellowish en masse. Basidia are with two to six sterigmata.

Flesh: thin, whitish, somewhat peppery taste, smell pleasant like apricot.

Habitat: in dense groups from end of summer to beginning of autumn, in moss under deciduous trees, mostly on silicate terrains.

Edibility: edible, but not worthwhile due to its petite size and small quantity.
