Hygrophorus marzuolus (Fr.) Bres

Fruit body: cap up to 12 cm, fleshy, rounded then expanded, irregular shape, slightly slime, mramored in shades of grey. Gills are adnate or decurrent, white becoming greyish. Stem is up to 8x3 cm, hard, in shade of cap colour or brighter.

Microscopy: spores elongated ellipsoid, 6—8x5—5.5 μm.

Flesh: whitish, grey under cap skin, without distinct smell and taste.

Habitat: season beginning of spring, in woods on calcareous terrains. Rare.

Edibility: edible.
