Myriostoma coliforme (Dicks.) Corda

Fruit body: at first globose, up to 8 cm, brown exoperidium splits into 5-12 unequal rays thus expanding up to 15 cm in diameter. Endoperidium is globose and flattened, up to 4 cm, standing on several thin pins up to 0.5 cm long; several ostioles up to 2 mm open on surface.

Microscopy: spores globose, ornamented with distinct warts, 4—5 μm, brown en masse.

Habitat: thermophile, in hot weather on sandy terrains, often in association with false acacia (Robinia pseudoacacia). Rare.

Edibility: inedible.
